My DS is 15 months, very spirited, hates schedules and sleeping in general. Well I finally have gotten him to go to bed at a regular time and take 2 naps a day at roughly the same time.

And then, DST!!!!!! I hate it, he is so messed up, he rampages around all day and won't go to sleep till well past his old bedtime (even adjusting for DST). How do I fix it???

Why do we still do this, I hate it!! Help please!!!

Sleepy mom of two (DS-11, DD-8). 5 lost: 9/2004, 3/2005, 3/2013, 8/2014, ectopic loss @ 6 weeks 11/2014

Oh, I was SO looking forward to DST because DS was getting up at 5:00 a.m. (with the sun) and now he sleeps in until 6:00.

With that said, perhaps you could adjust his schedule by 10 minutes every day until he gets switched over. I don't know what your day is like, but that's a possibility. Otherwise, he should get settled back in within a few days. Hang in there!

My DD had an awful time of it last year I remember, and it just took some time to get her adjusted. I didn't really do anything except stick to the routine like glue and lie down with her at her bedtime and eventually it sorted itself out. Thought in those days she was not a very regular sleeper anyway.
