Hi Mamas ~

Can you share with me the times your 3-4 month old babies go to bed and wake for the day? My 3 month old is going down around 7:30, nurses 3 times throughout the night, and then wakes to eat around 7:15am. He will wake up for good then if I get out of bed but if I fall asleep again he'll sleep until 8:45. Not sure if I should get us both up for the day at 7:15 or let him sleep in. Thanks!

My babe has a similar schedule. She goes to sleep at about 7, wakes up for a bit at 9 or 10 (pm), then sleeps until 4ish when she needs to nurse. Then she nurses at about 6:30, and doesn't sleep really soundly from then on. She doesn't get up until 8 ish, but is snacking a lot.

I've just been wondering about her going to sleep ritual. We often have her in the moby for the first part of her sleep (7-9) and then all go up to bed together later. I don't know if that is way too late a sleep time or not. There are also some nights I'd love to put her to bed at her early time, and then get stuff done downstairs or just have some tea and relax with DP.

I'm not super worried, because my thinking has always been that if it's working for the family, then it's the right thing to do, but I'm just starting to ponder alternatives.

I'd say probably the same thing for your morning routine, if it's working don't worry to much about the "shoulds".

Thanks for your input, and especially reminding me not to worry too much about the "shoulds." I'm just going to enjoy the extra sleep for now! We recently starting putting DS down without me going to bed too and it's lovely having our evenings back. Good luck! Thanks again!
