I recently night weaned my 14 month old dd, about 3 weeks ago. Since then she's been rather consistent with her night waking, but settles back to sleep easily. We recently moved my MIL in with us and the first week went without a hitch. But now it seems like DD gets that grandma lives with us now and is too excited to sleep. The last 2 nights she has woken in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep for hours. She doesn't ask to nurse, she just wants to wake up. She wakes up everyone and everyone is cranky and sleep deprived. Before her night weaned time was 12 to 7, I'm thinking tonight I will just start her clock at whatever time she goes to bed. Any other tips to get us through this rough patch?

As an update, she is still getting up rip roaring and ready to go during the middle of the night. But she is sleeping longer stretches, with only one night waking (my daughter? waking only once???). That one night waking is intense though as she wakes completely and wants to play and is darn near impossible to settle back down.  I think, I hope, we are heading towards better sleep...
