My 5 year old son wakes at 6am no matter what time he goes to sleep. What time would you all suggest for bed time? He generally seems to take 1-4 hours to fall asleep, depending on what time he lays down. The earlier we put him to bed, the longer he takes to fall asleep. He is currently getting about 8 hours of sleep per night and seems tired/wired.

My 3yo usually wakes between 5:30 and 6am as well. At the moment she is usually in bed by 7pm and asleep between 8 & 8:30pm.

She usually also has a daytime sleep of 1-2hrs. On the days she doesn't have a daytime sleep she is often asleep for the night at 7:30pm.

My 4.5 year old and 7 year old have the same bedtime, and they both wake up at 6. We start reading books and getting into pajama's by 7 and they are asleep (in theory) by 7:30 or a teensy bit later if I give them longer snuggles which I often do.
