So, a couple things are happening. I have a 17 mo old. I took her lead and gently started potty training at 13 mo when she became aware of going in her diaper and at 17 mo we are pretty much potty trained at our house. I know she is going through a major sleep regression hitting 18 mo here, but it seems that she has become uncomfortable being in a wet diaper at night? Maybe? She wakes up from 2-5am and stays that way for 1.5-2 hours. I started changing her recently because I was out of answers and desperate to do anything that might get us some sleep. She seems to go down much quicker once I change her. So, then I shifted to disposables at night (normally cloth) thinking it might wick the moisture away and she wouldn't notice. But that didn't really help, still a change helps get her down more quickly.

Anyways, anyone else experience this? Is your early potty trained child uncomfortable is wet night time diapers? What have you done to help this situation? Or do you do night time diaper changes with your toddler?

If she feels comfortable after a change then I would continue that route that you discovered.yes, I did change my ds diaper in the middle of the night but sometimes I just prepped the bed and he slept without a diaper and if he made pee I could just put a towel under him as we cosleep also.
