Hi there,

I can't seem to find the solution to our sidecar problem. The place where our king mattress meets the crib mattress is not seemless and dips a lot. The problem is that the crib mattress is not supported underneath by anything because we pushed it over to our mattress. We have pool noodles in the gap at the the other end but it just isn't comfortable and probably not safe because of the dip. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

I'm also wondering if the crib mattress is just too old (7 years) and uncomfortable  now. Any recommendations on a comfy crib mattress that is safe and not too expensive?

Thanks in advance!

From what I'm envisioning I wonder if a piece of plywood going from under your mattress to the crib mattress would help make it more seamless & for the crib mattress to be more supported...?  You might look for a place that does custom foam cutting like for RV's & Campers & furniture. We have one that will cut a piece of high density foam to any thickness and dimension. It's great mattress material, and that way you could get a crib mattress that would match the height of your bed, and it's actually WAY more affordable than buying a mattress new.
