Do you think this latex mattress is too "plush" for cosleeping? - Mothering Forums

There is a really good deal on this mattress and I'm thinking of getting it.  I've coslept on a latex mattress before and it was great, but it wasn't from this company and it was a "medium" or "medium firm".  This mattress particularly states that it has a plushness rating of 9 (9 out of 10).

I really need a good mattress to help with some back pain, but I don't want something that wouldn't be safe for baby.  I'm due in August.  Perhaps if it turns out to be too soft, I could get a more firm latex topper while the baby was sharing the bed?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I think I'd be hesitant with something labeled plush. I upgraded to a latex mattress about a month before my lo was born, and got a medium firm topper - having shared the bed with her for the last 6 weeks, I actually think I'd prefer a firmer topper. She tends to roll toward me a little more than I'd like (of course, some of that is just her snugglebug personality) - I wake up with her absolutely mashed against me!
