Weaning from the swaddle...

My 13 month old was a high needs baby and only slept when swaddled, but now it's about time (way past time actually) for him to stop being swaddled.

We bedshare, and he sleeps right next to me, but he will NOT SLEEP unless he is swaddled. I have laid next to him nursing him trying to get him to sleep until sometimes midnight and he doesn't even settle unless he is swaddled.

I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If it were me I would rather just let my little one sleep and let the situation resolve on it's own. My daughter was swaddled up until 5 months old and I thought that was quite a while lol. When I first stopped swaddling her, she was a lighter sleeper until she got used to it.
Maybe you could try making the swaddle looser and looser each night?

This may help you: https://zipadeezip.com/
Or this which is what we used:
http://www.woombie.com/convertible_leggies.html.
I liked the woombie convertible because we could start with just one arm out and then gradually made it looser.
