We have a baby monitor.. and if we leave the speaker part on without the reciever.. I've discoverd we can hear someone else with a monitor. We live in an apartment complex so I don't really know where its coming from..
But sometimes we can just hear thier T.V.. or them talking.
The other night though I fell asleep with Nora in our bed and forgot to turn the other half of the monitor off. When I work up there was a child crying and crying from the other monitor... (they must be using CIO)
Well the next night, they were reading a story to thier daughter.. and when it was all done.. she just kept saying...
"Scared mommy, scared"
"I'm scared"
And the mom kept saying.. its okay.. but its time for bed...

Well I turned it off after that cuz I felt a little too nosey! LOL
BUt it just made me sad... this poor little girl telling her mom she's afraid to sleep becuz they make her CIO !

Just wanted to share!
I"m glad our daughter isn't afraid to go to sleep.. cuz her mommy is always right there!

That is so sad.
WHy do people think little children are equipped to "deal" with their fears alone?

That poor little girl. I also feel kind of sorry for the mom, who more likely than not has been told that CIO is the "right" thing to do for her child.
