Just curious what a typical sleep/nap pattern looks like. My 3 1/2 month old generally needs a nap after she has been up for a couple of hours. Once it's dark out, she gets really wonky and falls asleep for the night at odd random times.
When do you put your DC down for the night? What is their eating pattern around bedtime - do they 'tank up' before bed, or do they wake up several times to eat?

My DD who is 4 months..
wakes in the A.M between 7-8:30
Is up for about an hour and then back to sleep.. if I lay with her she will somtimes nap for 2.5 hours.. in her sling.. she won't nap as long.. maybe an hour..
then shes up usually for about 2 hours and starts getting sleepy again...
so naps are around 12, 2:30 and 4-4:30
We get ready for bed at 6.. and she's usually asleep between 6:30-8

When she was littler she would "tank up" eating every hour starting at like 4-8
and then sleep for 4-5 hours..
now she eats every 2 hours about...
except in the afternoon becuz she's too busy! LOL
And before bed she'll eat 2x.. but then she's up again at 10--11 then again at 4... and she snacks alot from then on...

and then we do it all over again! LOL

Sorry bout the
Hope I answerd your questions! LOL

Ds (now 10.5 months) has no patterns of any kind, sleeping or eating. It sort of drives me crazy sometimes because you never know what to expect from day to day, but then again it is handy because you don't have to schedule around naps (handy mainly because I have an older dd). I just have to go with the flow and hope that he can catch a good nap somewhere along the way.

The only thing I can say that he does with *some* consistency is wake up between 5:30-7:00, and go to sleep for the night between 6:00-7:30. He does wake up during the night to nurse, but surprise suprise, his nightwaking is different every night too.

Dealing with ds and his schedule-less life has been interesting, and so different from my first baby who had fairly reliable and consistent sleep patterns from about the first month on.
