He sounds pretty happy in there. My husband and I ALWAYS lay down with our son, but last night he an accident and wet the bed and just now as we went into the bedroom I realized that the sheets are still in the washing machine from this morning. So I told ds to just lay down on the trundle bed and I would put a tape on for him and "I'll be in the office if you need me". He seemed totally okay with that! He didn't even ask to nurse!!!

Oh my goodness, is this a tiny taste of freedom?

He is in there listening to the tape and singing and talking to a teddy bear. I think he may happily fall asleep on his own.

Thank goodness, we have another baby due in 5 weeks...

Wow- congratulations! I am finally at the point with my 2.5 year old that I can sit in bed with him, rather than removing my glasses and pretending it's my bedtime too, when I help him fall asleep. I see my future in your experience tonight...I hope it lasts for you!
