i was a gifted child, albiet one whose iq plain was v up and down due to adhd, but still in the guinuss %.
i have twin toddlers who are v highly senstive children and hit all of the ever excitablitys/over sesntivitys that are common for gifted kids and as they've hit alot of milestones early (and some not) i think the likelyhood is they are gifted kids
id really be interested in hearing others experiences, they are v spirited kids and super intense. i am quite happy to allow them to develop academicly in their own way, we are fairly up/nvc so stay away from conditional/judgemntal language thats more normal in competition and in general at this age im more than happy for learningt o be self directed and fun based. however its the intensity thats overwhelming- i guess id love to hear how others managed this, with having twins its not allways so possiblet o manage enviroment to individuals needs and sometimes to help one not become overwhelmed it means the other missing out on an activity, and if we push to go to the activity it might mean one finds everything too much. transitions seem extreemly difficult at mo, apart from bedtimes which we all love, and trips out in the buggy to parks which are easy for us, we take away unecessary transions but ones that arnt necessary are still met with explosive emotions- prewarnings dont seem to mean much at mo.
anyone else share this stage?
I don't have any information to share but I saw your post and wanted to bump it up for attention. Hopefully someone will have something to share that will be of help.
