No SAI score listed on OLSAT results
My DS took the OLSAT test last year and was placed in his school's gifted program based on the results. Out of curiosity, I was reading some threads about the OLSAT here, and noticed that most of them referred to results in the 135-150 range, which doesn't correspond with any numbers on DS's results sheet.
I looked it up, and apparently the number I'm seeing here is the School Ability Index (SAI), which is listed in the glossary of acronyms on the back of DS's score sheet, but not given anywhere in relation to his results. The results I do have are:
--national grade percentile rank/stanine
--national grade normal curve equivalent
--national grade percentile rank
Is there a way for me to calculate the SAI using the numbers I do have? I'm curious because the glossary says it's an index of the student's ability in comparison with students of a similar chronological age, and since DS is young-for-grade (late October bday), he was only 9y0m when he took the test, despite being in 4th grade. So, since all the results I received are grade-based instead of age-based, I'd like to see at least one age-based representation of his results.
