I am wondering if any of you cloth diaper and what you use for nigttime once the baby can go all night w/out pooing? My dd is 7wks old and over 6 lbs now. I want to get a system for her to stay in all night w/out changing. Right now we use either a preemie prefold w/an insert or a size 0 kissaluv and those are soaked w/in 2-3 hrs. My aristocrats don't fit her legs and alot of other dipes don't either. What do you use?
TIA!
Jen

7 weeks old is a bit early to think about going all night without a changing.

My 30 weeker will be 4 months old on the 19th and I wouldn't think about him going all night without being changed. Babies have such sensitive skin and can get a diaper rash so easily.

He eats every 3-4 hours so he gets changed that often too, I don't go out of my way to wake him up to change him but I do change him when he wakes up to eat. He's kinda impatient so sometimes he gets changed after he eats that way doesn't scream his lil head off and wake up his big brother

Once DD was about 4 months, we started using FuzziBunz with two inserts, and that would work for 12 hrs (Obviously, we changed her if she pooed, but otherwise she was fine!). E never had a diaper rash

I'd second the fuzzi bunz! One fuzzi bun is usually fine for the night. We would usually change our boys before bed (around 7) and again after feeding them before we went to bed (around 11) and then they would be good no matter how many times they nursed until the morning.

Their extra-small diaper fits babies nicely up to about 12 pounds. Our 5 pounder wore them for about 3 months and then wore the size small through 15 months.

I contacted a WAHM on Hyena cart and asked if she could make a fitted dipe to fit my dd. I used pull on wool/fleece soakers (WAHM made recycled wool or fleece). I found some very small sizes that worked perfectly. My dd didn't come home from the NICU til she was 3 mos and it took her another month or 2 before she slept through. When she started sleeping through the night though I used the heavy wetter fitteds that I'd found on hyena cart (hemp/cotton blend) and after we got rid of a NASTY C. diff infection my dd never had a single rash! I never woke her to change her.

this is what we did.

But fwiw, we didnt go all night without a diaper change for a while since they are still at that age to need a change. I used the Kissaluvs w a cover until she grew out of them. I miss those sometimes! So soft!

My daughter is a heavy wetter. I love the fuzzin bunz, but the sometimes wick as she often sleeps on her side. They are excellent otherwise. We use a bamboozle fitted diaper with an aristocrats wool soaker. The soaker is bullet proof! One of our best purchases. Also the bamboo is a bit bulky, but it weighs about a ton after a night of sleeping. I do usually change my daughter when she wakes up to eat once since I am concerned about diaper rash. But wow, the aristocrats!
