Even though my nausea has been fading, it still hits me at times. I made some fresh squeezed lemonade today and boy did it ever hit the spot! I don't know if anyone else craves tart foods/drinks when nauseous but I thought I'd share this simple recipe as an idea.

Lemonade

1 1/4 cups sugar (adjust to taste)
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice (I juiced 7 large lemons.)

1. Combine sugar and 1 cup water in small pan, boil to dissolve sugar and cool in fridge.
2. Juice lemons.
3. Mix chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.
4. Enjoy!

That sounds great! I haven't been sick, but am not really in the mood for anything other than water to drink, however, sometimes I just wan't something other than water IYKWIM. I will have to give that a try!

Mmmmm, sour lemonade sounds wonderful! Yesterday I ate a lemon with salt like I used to when I was a kid, it was wonderful

I have been drinking lots of "lemonade". And I salt mine sometimes especially if I am craving salty foods.

Thanks for the recipe! We went to the state fair (near Syracuse) and those lemonade stands seriously got me through the day!

My OB had wrote about lemonade in the Pregnancy Packet he hands out during your first prenatal visit. He didn't explain why it works but recommended it for morning sickness.

Something else he mentioned that's helped me a lot is to avoid fluids while eating. I normally drink a lot of water with every meal, but he suggests not drinking anything with your meals and waiting half an hour before drinking after a meal. I tried that today and felt better than I have for a weeks.
