Hi Mamas. I guess I am offically joining this club! Excited to say the least, but I have been feeling so crummy that I just don't feel happy. I'll be 12 weeks on wednesday and I feel like I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it's not helping me feel any better. My spirits are down and so am I! I have 2 other small children that need love and attention and I'm not doing my job. Ugh, the guilt makes me feel even worse. I think I usually stop the vomitting and feel better by 14 or 15 weeks but I'm hoping it's sooner. I'm just down and out . . . anyone else?? Sorry to be the be the buzz kill here . . .

I have always read that the majority of women start to feel better between weeks 12 and 14. I hope that holds true for us!! I too am so ready to stop feeling nauseous and fatigued. I get so frustrated trying to eat healthy foods when I can only keep down UNhealthy ones:

I'm 11w, 3days and I feel better today than I have in many days. My all-day nausea actually started to subside a few weeks ago, but it would come back w/a venegance at times. And the perpetual indigestion that seemed to replace it was worse! But today, I ate a whole plate of food for lunch and didn't have to force it down or burp it up! I sure hope this lasts! </crosses fingers>

No more guilt! Stop it! Stop stop stop!

Your little ones will survive! And now they will have someone to pick on!

Hugs and more hugs!

Thanks mamas. Wirewendy, thank you so much, I need to hear that. I just wish I had someone to help me. I am so down in the dumps right now. Ugh, I think I have to go puke AGAIN.

I noticed a couple days ago that I wasn't feeling sick as much, and I could eat certain foods again (like salad, and other veggies). I am 12 weeks today and wasn't nauseas this morning even though I didn't eat anything for breakfast (usually if I don't eat I start getting sick).

With DS I felt better immediately at week 12. It was like a switch was flipped.

I'm feeling a bit better now at week 9. I wish my smell sensitivity would go away!

sadly, with my daughter i simply never did. i reached a point of not vomiting multiple times a day, but never felt *better*.

this time around i've had a few days where i felt perfect and completely forgot i was pregnant. usually those are followed with a day of severe nausea, but i'm having more and more good days. i feel convinced that the end of this tunnel is approaching.

i too, have guilt over my daughter not getting enough of me at my best. but i can only do what i can do. it's not your fault, and the more you try to push yourself to be superwoman the worse you're going to feel. hiding and getting through this as well-rested as possible is probably the best you can do for your kids.

Thanks for the support. I am 12 weeks today and feeling worse than yesterday. I really just want to break down and cry. On top of the nausea I am coming down with something, soar throat and really bad headache. I just can't do this anymore. I don't know how to "keep" doing it. I feel like such a loser that I can't suck it up anymore. I just can't. I am so broken!!

I hear ya; I told my DH today I wanted to quit my job, and I just didn't have anything left. The hardest part is having to carry on teaching high school with no one knowing what's up with me. Two weeks seems like an eternity, because it feels like I've felt sick forever. And I don't think I've even had it that bad!

But I am TRYING to keep reminding myself that we do this and we get a baby! Sometimes I'm even glad to feel sick because it means I am indeed pregnant. Just remember, you're getting something for your trouble... but I have been there myself, just total rock bottom! It should pass...

Oh Mama-
I'm sure any day you are going to notice a difference. And you can do it. You are strong. Look how far you have already come! Don't try to look at the big picture, just take it an hour at a time and celebrate each one as they pass you by.

I am feeling sick all the time too. I talked to my mom and sister and they both said they were sick for all of their pregs all the time. I hope I am not that bad! I am down today! :

I've always felt better around 12 weeks but this time I was feeling much better around 10 and then now at 13 weeks I feel icky. I threw up once today and twice yesterday. ugh I hope this passes soon and we all feel better!! The first trimester is always the hardest, you feel sick, tired, bloated, etc. if there wasn't the initial excitement this part would really suck.

I am not officially in your DDC - I hope you don't mind me intruding.

I have been nauseous since week 6. I was not able to open my fridge, cook, or do anything centered around food. It was awful! Last month we spent $3,000 on food because we ate all of our meals out (family of 3). Anyway, at week 16 I was able to open my fridge without puking and cook again. Yeah! I am now 18 weeks along and things are a little better. I am cooking a lot and am just on and off nauseous. It's kind of like labor -- I get breaks between which are heavenly. Hang in there everyone.
