Woohoo!

I can't believe I'm 12 weeks pregnant today! That's three months!

All the due date calulators I've checked today tell me that this is the beginning of the second trimester. I have clawed my way through the first trimester and am now ready for the joys of the second trimester! I'm ready to eat again! I'll be feeling the baby for sure soon! I might actually look pregnant instead of just like I have a beer belly!

My husband was so shocked last night when I told him how far along we are. I forgot how quickly it all passes!

I noticed there is another DDC behind us now, too. How cool.

On another note, I had to really reduce my siggy when I went to change my ticker this morning. Wassup with dat? I wasn't outside the guidelines to begin with?

Oh. Now I see that maybe I was.

Tomorrow's the day for me. It seems really important to me too. THough I have been feeling a lot better and have only thrown up a few times. I can't wait for the more substantial bumps dancing from the wee bean.

5 more days for me -- I can't wait! I also had to chop a lot out of my sig when I changed my little timeline. Bummer -- I liked my Gandhi quote....

I was waiting for you to post, CarolynnMarilynn!

We're on different clocks, I tell you!

According to your clock, I still have 7 days to go. I therefore reject your reality and substitute my own!

I don't care if you're a midwife and have way more knowledge than me. The computer says I'm done with trimester one, dangit!

Totally kidding.

I'll post in 7 days and say now I'm really in the second trimester! My edd is 4/9 by the way.:

I am also 12 weeks today! The week-by-week pregnancy site I check every Monday tells me the 2nd trimester doesn't start until next week, but I've been looking forward to this day so fervently that I don't even care.

I've actually been feeling pretty good lately and only throwing up once or twice a day. Today, however, was a different story.

Ok, ok, my OC is gonna come clear to you all... I actually counted 266 days from my day of conception. I date it all from there.... That makes me turn to a new week on Wednesday, and this upcoming one will be week 13 completed.

However, I'm going to also reject my own conformist reality and jump in with you!! YAY! DONE MY FIRST TRIMESTER ALREADY! Woo hoo! (This is way more fun than waiting until tomorrow!) Party at my URL!

Aw. i will be hitting my 12 weeks on Saturday. So what is considered 2nd trimester????? 12 or 13 weeks? im guessing its 13. It sounds more reasonable to have 13 weeks a trimester X 3 which = 39. I dunno. Anywho. I just think this is all going by so fast. i remember when i found out and i was only 4 weeks along. how weird! well i know its early to feel the baby. but swear that i will be laying down sometimes, and just feel a really fast flutter in my belly. it will stop, then start, then stop, then start. its something i never felt before. Although it could be gas, but let me tell you, i know when thats coming!!!

[rain on parade] 12 seems really early. 40/3=13.3. Plus there's the two weeks of not being pregnant, so I've heard the first trimester is actually longer. I know as a first timer I'm bound to go at least the full 40 if not more, so I'm waiting til 14 full weeks to celebrate. I just had my 1/4 of the way through party, though, lol. I was amazed just by that! [/rain on parade]

Feel free to celebrate whenever you damn well please!

Damn straight. I like my counting :-). Just kidding. They said that the morning sickness would magically go away at the 2nd trimester, so CLEARLY that's not begun yet. I will wait 6 more days and then expect a complete nausea disappearance.

Tuesdays are when my weeks turn over, so I will be 14 wks along on Tuesday! I AM in my 2nd tri! And I am EATING!!!

My dh was warned. My midwife told him, "just wait until 2nd trimester, you will me amazed at what she will put away."

(dh is my kids stepdad, btw) And the funny thing is, I don't know if my dh's freakishly fast metabolism can effect my need to eat, but I am so eating like HIM! I actually had to get out of bed at 11:00 last night and make a protein shake, which is totally something he does all the time after hard working days. He is a 145 lb, 5'10'', lean, wiry little redhead that has to eat all the damn time, and I am eating like him. Problem is, I am getting the thigh jiggle. he doesn't.

Shelley, mom to dd 5/19/01, ds 9/06/02, and ds 4/01/07.  Lost babe 4/09
