I think mine is doing the same thing - favoring a certain side and position, which I am suspicious is mostly posterior because I can see and feel what look like limbs rolling across my belly. My MW agreed at my 34w appointment - but then at my 36w appt a different MW said she thought he had moved to anterior. I thought maybe he had too but now it feels like he might be back to the same old position. I am really unsure. I can tell he is head down but he seems to move from side to side and around still - I have an appointment tomorrow so going to get the 3rd MW's opinion! I do feel like he has moved down somewhat so I hope if he gets to like being anterior - isn't it harder for them to turn once engaged?
Back labor is hard and more painful. It is completely doable with very good labor support. My first was posterior until I started pushing, and it made for a long, much harder labor. Unfortunately, I didn't have the preparation I needed to make it easier on myself. If you know about relaxing deeply and working with your body during labor, have good support, and are prepared for a longer labor, you will be fine.
