It was not my OB that diagnosed the IUGR. I was sent out for an ultrsound at 24 weeks, because my OB's was not working. They send all their patients to the local Peri. So when I went to the peri it was diagnosed. We knew that she was on for weeks pregnant because of an ultrsound at 8 and 13 weeks for bleeding. So when her measurements went off, they diagnosed her. Her measurments were not just a little off, they were way off! I was just a suprised as my OB was when she was born wieghing 6 pounds. But, in the end I got a healthy baby and it is all i could ask for and I assume that any one in my sitiuation would have done the same thing without regrets.
I am happy she is here and safe with us. But we were none the less shocked when she was born, right on track with no lasting issues, except for some possible hearing loss in her left ear, which needs to be checked again next week.
We love her to pieces!
