Almost exactly 3 days after she was born. She had the skinniest cord I have ever seen. It was silvery grey and about 2 cm in diameter (total guesstimate). All the other cords I have seen were much larger and veiny. Has anyone ever seen a cord like this before?

Wow! That was fast!! Ethan's took 10 days to fall off. His cord didn't look like that. It started off yellow-ish and thick and got black before it fell off *gag*.

Fast indeed! Karina's stump is still holding on... it's all dry and crusty and I bet it won't make it to the weeked.

Part of Logan's fell off, it was really odd. It is shorter now but still attached. It was bleeding a little bit inside today but it didn't really look infected. Don't mean to hi-jack the thread - but is this normal?

I don't remember bow long it took for Kai's to fall off, but it was close to 2 weeks. It did bleed a little before it fell off. No infection, so I assume it's not out of the norm for that to happen.

I am thinking that it took Luke's around 1 week to fall off, my niece's cord was on for 2 weeks.

That is fast! Lincoln will be a week old tomorrow and his doesn't look close to falling off. I haven't been swabbing it with alcohol or anything, just leaving it alone. What are you all doing?

ribboncesarean.gif cesareans happen.

I never touched it, but when it fell off it had shrivelled the the size of thick yarn. It had a fe drop of blood coming from it yesterday am and then yesterday evening. I guess it just falls off when it completly dries out, and DDs was so skinny that it dried out quickly.
