I totally did that with our 1st dd, I also powerwashed the house. It was at least a distraction. LOL!

Have you tried sex?

God, I couldn't even imagine how we could do it at this stage...my belly is so big...but it's worth trying, isn't it?

I plan on inducing myself BEFORE the OB can do it with Pitocin...I'm scheduling an appointment with my acupuncturist for an induction at the beginning of my 39th week. I hope it works!

Ew, so maybe no sex for a few more days for us, then. Seriously, I can hardly imagine the logistics, either! But I don't want to just get prodromal labor. But in a week, we're going in for the real thing!!!

I tried to seduce dh last night, but the whole thought that it might prompt some contractions or labor just wigged him out- that he was causing it. I tried to explain that if my body isn't ready then it will not do anything, but for some reason it just really threw him off. Of course I tried to remind him that if he wants sex he should be getting it now as it will be a while after the babe is born.

Man at this point even powerwashing the house isn't outta the question for me I would just about do anything. I have tried lots of walking, 2 weeks of epo and sex. Sex is no fun but it is made a bit easier if both parties are sitting up

How can you ladies even THINK about sex when you are as big as a house!!! I am so not in the mood for anything like that. I'm all for keeping my man happy, but my belly is so big, I think I'd die. My Dh is not really interested at this point, anyway, as it's not exactly comfortable for him, either. We tried sex several times when my 2nd was postdates, and decided it just wasn't happenin'. I'm really impressed that some of you make it work this late in the game!

Yes, we try sex often...so far...no success!

Acupuncture...now that is something to consider. I am scheduled to be put on the induction list on Thursday if we don't have a baby by then...perhaps I should schedule some acupuncture for Monday or Tuesday...

The other night I thought a little intimacy might tip my prodimal labor to the real deal as I was having ctx every 7-12 min. NOPE IT ALL STOPED

Yeah, we've tried sex. I've been trying to hit up dh every couple of days since we found a comfy position but he's getting worn out since this is more than we usually go at it

After I mowed I shampooed the couch and cleaned the house. all any of this has done is make my pelvic bones more sore and my practice cx more annoying.

I've had prodromal labor the past 3-4 days now at night. It starts when I lay down and it takes an hour or so to go to sleep then every time I wake up to pee(every hour or two) it starts again and it takes me 45 minutes or so to get back to sleep with strong cx every 10 mins or so.

I really hope this baby comes out soon. Maybe I'll look into our ins. later and see if they cover accupuncture.

Yes! Try it! If nothing else, you'll get a good 20 minutes of ME time.

You've officially inspired me to jump DH. Although, we tried that old-fashioned method of induction the other day, and it didn't do much for me.

This morning, I ran errands and went to a bunch of thrift stores, rummages sales, and did the grocery shopping. Nada.

Well, today I tried something that I'm sure no one else has tried! I cleaned the barn, pushed the (really) loaded wheelbarrow, and did some raking in the garden. Nada. Zip. Zero. Nothing. Oh well, at least the barn is now clean, lol! I guess I could get up on my horse and ride. He'd probably look at me like, no way is that heavy butt sitting on my back!

I am telling you all...sit around, take it easy and eat bon bons! It will do the trick! LOL! Just kidding. We went on a hike, for fun, not inducement.
