We just moved to Nevada and our daycare provider told us we need the hep vax.  From the gov literature (this is the addendum, not the full requirement):

"all children enrolled in a licensed child care facility in Nevada must be
vaccinated against Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella (Chickenpox) and Streptococcus pneumoniae
(Pneumococcus) unless excused because of medical or religious reasons."

We've been following the Sears alternative schedule, where he wouldn't have been vaxd for hep for another year.

Now that I'm looking at it, looks like Polio might be an issue, I thought we moved before getting to it.  And I don't know what Rubeola is... part of MMR?  No ages listed, so I'm assuming they are going by standard schedule.

(a) Diphtheria;
(b) Tetanus;
(c) Pertussis if the child is under 6 years of age;
(d) Poliomyelitis;
(e) Rubella;
(f) Rubeola; and
(g) Such other diseases as the local board of health or the State Board of Health may determine.

DS is 11 months.  So how big of a deal is the hep vax?  What would you do?  We were hoping to put him in a Montissori daycare this fall which would have the same requirements.

Loving mama to Aden (8/5/2010) and DSD (15).
