I have a 18 month old and a 4 month old that are suppose to be going in soon for shots. My friend recently went in for her daughters 18 month shots and 3 days after shots, if she was in a certain position she would yell "owie" and would be like stuck. She is thinking it could be some kind of arthitis that was caused by shots?? maybe juevenile arthiritis?? I am just paranoid now and i am not very good at researching and educating myself. I am a believer in some shots but i dont think you need them all. Could someone help me (that has done their research and are not against all shots) and give me some opinions and answers?? What shots do you really not need?? Side affects etc? Im hearing more and more stories with vaccines and it just gives me a twisted stomach. How do i know im doing the right thing?! Help guys? Thanks!
Yes, it's possible the MMR gave the child mild arthritis. It's in the list of side effects for that vax.
Here is a list to help you out when deciding about vaccines. Remember, you can always, delay, but you cannot take back what's been injected.
