So, I've gotten these in the past and I'm due for another one in a year. The docs are pushing one with the pertussis added on, which I don't remember... but since I have only gotten these shots every ten years as an adult, the most I could have gotten was three doses. I do hike, garden and do other outdoorsy things that make me think I should get this shot.

Educated ones... help me with some facts. Thanks.

I could go either way, frankly. This is one of my favorite, well-cited blog posts on the issue. http://guggiedaly.blogspot.com/2010/05/one-thing-that-has-frequently-come-up.html

Good luck!
