I'm Gina. We're expecting our third (and final, most likely) baby in late April or early May. We'll see if the baby wants to wait for finals to be over! We have 2 sons, Guinness is 6 and Xavier is 3. This will be our first homebirth.

I work in the birth field out of my home and love being a pregnant doula.

hi everybody!

Figured I'd do an intro since I've been reading this board for several weeks and can't stop myself from occasionally posting!

I'm Amy, my husband of 10 years is Mike and we have two sons Jody who is 7-1/2, Jaden who is 4-1/2, and we know our baby due May 18 is a boy, he's named Sawyer.

I live in a pretty conservative area of the country, and so I like hanging out here where people are talking about birthing normally.

I had a hospital birth with Jody, where I dilated to 10 and pushed, but ended up with a c-section. I planned an HBAC with Jaden, but ended up with transfer-happy midwives and went to the hospital before I was even in active labor (though I had labored for 18 hours) for a second c-section. I have a wonderful, awesome midwife this time around and will be having a HBA2C.

My husband is a chef at a natural foods restaurant. I work part-time, 25 hours a week, as a bookkeeper and office administrator for a nonprofit. 16 of those hours are at the office nearby, the rest are from home whenever I get a chance. I homeschool my children, and enjoy other things that make me seem a little "odd" in this community like sleeping with my babies, slinging them, cloth diapering, nursing them into their fourth year, not vaxing, gentle discipline, I'm sure there are more. It's very nice to "hang" here where I'm not necessarily the oddball. I'll try to post more and try to be more involved despite my time constraints.

Hi, my name is Allison and we're expecting babe #2 towards the end of May. We like surprises so we don't know if this babe is a boy or a girl. Once again we're planning a homebirth that I hope will also be a waterbirth.

Momma to DD ('04), DS ('07), and 2 feline furballs and wife to a wonderful and supportive husband.

Hi everyone! My name is Rebecca, and I'm due May 8 with our second child. We've opted not to find out the gender ahead of time, which has elicited this reaction from just about everyone we know: : LOL! Anyway, it's good to be here; I look forward to getting to know everyone!

I'm Melissa, 31, and due with my fourth child (a boy). By ovulation I'm due May 16th, but the hospital said May 9th. Pick one or both, it doesn't matter to me.

Aside from my first dd who was three days late, I've been two weeks early (dd2), and three weeks early (dd3). With PTL starting at 26wks, I expect he'll be coming soon.

I guess I belong here, and on the June DDC.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant with triplets, so 40 weeks would be mid-June, but these babies are going to be delivered by the end of the May at the latest. I'm having intense but non-invasive monitoring by a high-risk clinic and their practice jives with my understanding of the risks to me and the babies given my underlying health status, so we will go for an elective c-section at 36-37 weeks if I don't go into pre-term labour first. Not what I wanted for my second pregnancy, but I don't want to risk my babies or my health. My first pregnancy was exactly what I wanted: midwife care and a natural, uncomplicated birth, so this is a huge change.

Kate
mother of Patrick (7/31/03), and Michael, William, and Jocelyn (4/27/07)

I don't think I officially added myself here.

I am due May 21st with my 4th child. I have 3 sons and this one is the daughter I've always wanted. I am a nursing student on break from school until after the baby comes. I have 6 months left of school when I go back in July.

I am SOOOOO excited about going into labor and experiencing this again. This will probably be our last child, so I am trying to savor everything that is going on.

I've been posting for a few weeks already. Sorry to take so long to post my intro.

Rebecca

nurse, mama, doula-in-training to J-14, J-13, S-7, S-4, and P-2(born at home)
