Mamas, what is your favorite soaker pattern? I've only done the Tiny Birds soaker...

Hey, you guys rock! I went to SOS to sign up for the mailing list and scored four diapers! leaving one rather ugly one. Now I wish I'd bought it too. Oh well, four is great. We only have one at home.

Covers? I'd think 6 is plenty. I like variety in covers, some wool, some fleece, some PUL.

kindheartedwomen - ooh, i've heard their newborn fitteds are tops. are they still really hard to get?

Kissaluv 0s are fine for newborns and pretty cheap. I don't get excited about them. Depending on your water and your wash procedures, they get stiff after a while.

I'll be getting some BumGenius too. I get to go down to the CottonBabies store and buy them!

My mom has already made me about 5 covers. They are so cute!

Does anyone know if soakers would be way to hot to use in FL? I'm dying to knit something!!

Kim, I don't think soakers would be too hot in Florida. They're more breathable than other diaper covers, so that should make up for the warmth.

PUL = polyurethane laminate. It's polyester coated to make it waterproof, i think. It is NOT vinyl, like the covers at Babies R Us. It's a little bit crinkly but not nearly as crinkly as vinyl.
