Well, if my first had been a girl, he was going to be called "Kali".

That's really all I have to offer for four letter girl names, almost everything else I"ve ever considered has been listed!

I can't think of any that haven't already been given. Most of my girl names are long.

I too like the Asia it has a lovely ring to it. I think that is my favorite on the list but there are some great ideas.

I like Iris too.

Two syllables is fine. Our last name has 3 syllables, which isn't too many, it's just a rather pretty flowery and unusual name on its own, so we like to keep things a bit simple for their first names.

I love Edie. My aunt is named Ione, except she pronounces it eye-own. I should call her and pronounce it AYE-uh-nee. She'd think I'd gone : ! I've always thought it a pretty name, though, and she's never liked it.

Our little girl is Sadie... we liked Emma and Maya too. Also Maisie.

OK, they aren't all 4 letters, but they are short....

Middle name will be a family name so no restrictions on syllables/# of letters. We want to give the kids their own first name (not in the family) and then have a family middle name for remembering who they came from. These are our current choices for middle names:

Marie
Taylor
Elaine
Darlene

I really, really like Leah. I'd kind of forgotten about that name.

BTW, you mama's rock for all the awesome names you are coming up with! It looks better than my *very* short list I've got going here!

Jesse, wife to DH , mama to DD 13, DS 11, DS 8, DD 6, DS 3 & bean EDD 12/18/13

Oh, I love name threads!!!! I keep waiting for a name section here at MDC.

Ok, my take on it is this - four letters, two syllables. (Because you have two with one syllable, and only one with two syllables.) No names starting with J, A or L as you already have those, and I think you either have to go with all the same first initial, or each their own.

As cute as Nora, Cora, Zora are... Jade, Adam, Luke and Nora. Am I the only one who thinks Luke and Laura from General Hospital? Not terrible but there must be something else.

I think your girl name is a bit more unique than the boys' names - so I wouldn't go with Mary or Lynn or Emma or Sara. I'd try to pick something with the same "uniqueness" as Jade.

You also have two initials that are consonants, and only one with a vowel. So I like:

Iris - doesn't feel as strong as your other kids' names
Eden - not my favorite with an Adam in the mix, but sounds good with others
Opal - really love the theme connection, sounds great with the others
Asia - feels like it fits the theme too

the best.

Second tier (breaking my vowel or syllable rule) would be:

Ruby - theme connection
Tori - seems too "cutesy" to go with your strong kid names
Wren - really love this a lot!!!!
Maya - seems not to go as well
Sage - love the way it sounds with your kids' names
Gwen - LOVE this one!!!
Kira - like the name but not as much with your others
Bryn - love this name but I like it spelled Brynn better...
Bree - think this sounds good with your other kids' names
