Here's a link to the chinese gender predictor calendar on MDC.

So was it correct for you if you already know the sex?

"Other"

I've found different versions of the predictor all over the web, and some with different instructions on calculating age (lunar age), so I've gotten both "boy" and "girl" answers. (And I am not having both )

Not from your DDC club but the post sparked my intrest. NOT using my lunar age it was right for my first two and says this one will be a girl. If I use the lunar age then it was wrong both times and says this time is iffy becuse we concived around my "lunar birthday"?!? when my "age" was changing and it's hard to say if it was before or after! If that makes any sense...

If I use my "lunar age" (add 2 years to your age), it is correct and say a Boy. But, if not, it says girl. Also, if I say I was 25 instead of 24 it says boy. (I was 24 when I conceived, but turned 25 a month later). I couldn't respond yes or no.

Not from your due date club...but just had to reply too The calendar was right the first two times..we landed up having our two beautiful DS.

My third pregnancy ultrasound showed we were having another boy (although the calendar predicted girl) so we thought the calendar was wrong this time. Imagine our surprise and delight when our DD was born

NOTE TO SELF: Never doubt the power of the Chinese Gender Predictor calendar

Well, I just took my actual age (21) and it says the only month I could conceive a boy is in January. Boy do I wish that was true! Those ultrasound pictures were mighty clear, this is a little boy and he was conceived at the start of August I think.

It was correct for my first son though. So half points?

Not correct for this one (was 30 at conception in August), but correct for my last one (and I was too young for the chart with my first).

E ~ Mostly-SAHM to 3 amazing boys (and another little guy still percolating, due 5/10)! :

NOt from your DDC, but I think lunar age is ALOT more difficult than adding a few months. The link I'm giving you calculates your lunar age for you...and it needs to know what timezone you were in! And the DAY that you concieved the lil one...So, it's a little harder to figure out.

Oh my gosh...all the "old wives tales" were wrong for me...chinese predictor test, drano test, ring on the string test...all said boy and I'm having a girl! But last time all those test said girl and I had a girl!!!

Good Luck! Pam

The chart has been right for me for every baby I've had, including this one.

Remember--the trick is that you have to add one year to your age...

The Eastern method of telling age is supposedly by measuring the actual year of life you are living...(Since I'm not Eastern, nor did I help develop the gender predictor, I'm only repeating what I've heard in the lore regarding this particular chart).

For example, by the time a baby celebrates it's first birthday, it has already lived one year...so the year we call a child a 1-yr old is actually it's second year of life.

Consequently, although I am 31 yrs old, I am currently living out my 32nd year of life and will begin my 33rd year on my 32nd birthday...

So, if you're having trouble with the chart, try adding a year to your age and see if it makes a difference.

Not in your DDC but had to peek in here. It was wrong for my DD (regardless of lunar age or not) and it predicts a boy again. I hope in this case it's on a streak and is wrong again.
