Kaila? I have a friend named Kai who pronounces it like "eye." So, Kaila jumps out me as another possible spelling for you.

Well, since I have a Kaela myself, I think it's a beautiful name & I LOVE the spelling. (obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have spelled it like that ) We'd never seen anyone else spell it like that & we wanted it to be different than all the "kayla's" out there. She's 10 years old & NO ONE has ever mispronounced her name.

Oh, & I read Kaisha as Kaysha.I do like the spelling Kaesha better though

I like Kiila Rose best...

We considered "Kylie" for this baby to honor one of my kids' uncles (on their dad's side--to whom I'm not, nor have I ever been related) who died a couple of years ago...but I decided that I would save that name so that my DS or DD could use it when they grew up and had kids, if they wanted.

My name is Kimberley and hubbys is Lance. We took the first 2 letters of our names to make Kiila and I added the extra i so it wasn't pronounced Kill-la, but now it seems some of you may be seeing it that way anyway.
Suggestions?
What about just Kila? Or maybe Kiela? Either could be mispronounced, I guess. Maybe Kilah? I'll have to see that in print without the spell check underline to know if I think it looks ok.

Ok, I took a poll on another board and asked how people would say the name Kaila without giving them any options of suggestions and they ALL said "Kay-la". So I guess that isn't an option for spelling Kiila now. Too bad because I liked that spelling! Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions how to spell Kiila? I really like the name. WEll I like them all, but hubby seems set on Kiila Rose. But I just don't want people to read it "Kill-a". So what do we do?? I still want to see her face before we make up our minds and see which name she suits. It seems that Dawn may be out for a middle name because I don't think any of you like that one! Lol! So we'll most likely go with Rose.
I do like the suggestions of Kiela! Not sure about "Kilah". But maybe Kiela. Would you all read that Ky-la of would you read it Kee-la?
Please keep the input coming!! I so need it! Lol

Can you just take out one of the i's and make it Kila? You'll still get some people who want to pronounce it "Kee-la" but it makes more sense to me that way.

I like "Kilah" too and with that one I'm pretty sure most people will get how it is supposed to be pronounced.

yeah...for ease of pronunciation, Kilah or Kila seem like the best options.

Reading Kiela, I would say kee-la, yup..

stupid vowels!!

I'm not sure about Kila because to me it feels like it will be read Kill-la. Keila seems like it would be read Kee-la and Kaila-Kay-la! I don't really like the spelling Kilah! So what do I do????? Lol!

Ki-sha

I like kiila the best, but think it would be difficult and that people would just think it was spelled worng. plus my braininstantly changed it to make it a more familiar word, well with an a at the end,. I intially saw Killa

I think so :

The spelling Kila is the one that is a true blending of your names. I don't think I would mistake that for "killah" either.

Maybe you can put a poll up in I'm pregnant just to see what spellings most people like best?

I don't think you have to worry about how people will pronounce "Kila." It looks like "Kie-la" to me.

And yes, Kiila really is that bad.

i actually think if you have Kila, i would have pronounced it correctly, because the vowel after the consanent makes the first vowle say its name. Plus it looks really pretty too, and it is the correct blend too.

plus Kila Rose is so beautiful
