I guess a new weekly thread would do, but nah. . .

When you post answer the question in the previous post and post a question for the next person, OK?

What are you wearing right NOW????

Nothing. ha, just kidding clothes, and lots of them, I am always cold.
Socks, pants, undies bra, home-made belly-band thingy (black), long sleeved v-neck shirt (blue), stretchy jacket (black with grey stripes down arms).

How many times do you get up to pee at night?

What is your favorite position to sleep in while this pregnant?

On my left side, with two pillows under my head, a travel one under my belly, one between my legs and a body pillow behind me.

What are you looking forward to about labor?

OK, fine, I'll answer that one! LOL I'm at my husband's grandparents' house and his grandma is SO annoying. She constantly asks what we want to eat, what we are eating, follows us around in the kitchen, etc. Usually I can just laugh it off, but being pregnant it's too hard - we've been here 3 days now and I refuse to eat in front of her!

At breakfast, I shared some peaches with Delia - they had them frozen from last fall. Then I couldn't stand the thought of trying to eat lunch in front of her, so I took off and got McDonald's. A chicken sandwich, fries, a diet dr pepper and a bottle of water. I got a manicure and pedicure done, got the oil changed in our car and bought some more water. My husband and I went out to dinner at a Mexican place. I ate a lot of chips, some salsa, guacamole, a spinach enchilada and a few bites of a mini-chimichanga but it was kinda bland. Then I had a caramel frappuccino at Barnes & Noble. Get this - when we got home, she (the grandma) picked up my frappuccino and inspected it. Asked my husband what it was (I was with Delia in the next room, so I could hear her) THEN asked my MIL all about it too! I finally went in and asked her if she wanted a sip and explained all about caramel frappuccinos, and that I'd get her one of those bottled ones from a store tomorrow. She said about twenty times "But you don't drink coffee. Is it coffee? Does it have coffee in it?" So I have to explain I don't not drink coffee, I just don't drink it every day, every morning afternoon and evening like her whole family does (except for my husband thankfully). It's so annoying you just have to laugh, but I really can't stand eating around her. If she was my mom I would have such a raging eating disorder.

OK - so, what three things do you love most about your body right now?

1. My giantly swollen feet.
2. My giantly swollen ankles.
3. My entire pelvic area, which is currently making turning over in bed at night a gymnastic feat.

How much weight have you gained, and do you care?

Packed it away after DS 19 mo. was done using it! I am pretty laid back about "getting stuff ready" Right now I am trying to get my house spic and span. After that I'll have the utter pleasure of fingering all of our newborn stuff!

What worries you most about your up and coming labor/birth?

My answer: That my tailbone gets fractured again! It happened while pushing and took 9 months to heal!

Married to DH 7 years and have three fantastic kiddos! DS 6, DD 4, and DS 2 ...... lo and behold another is on the way!

That's funny, 19 months ago. . .fingering. . .

I'm most afraid of not dialating or not being able to push the baby out.

my fear is that I will somehow loose it completly and not be able to handle. I am also equally terrified of loosing the baby during labor.

BTW my first broke my tailbone as well. i was fine the next two births . dont know if that makes you feel any better

my favorite thing is the purple happy hangup I have coming to me in a couple of weeks! i finally bought it! We went back and forth between it and the Amby and then discovered that the amby's footprint is waaaaay to big for our small room and having the other hanging from the ceiling would work better! Yay!!

DH is excited about the pink moses basket he found and got for the baby. We'll use it mostly at church, I think.

What are the last few "nesting" things you want to get done before babe comes?

ummmm, do you feel ready for this baby?

oops, there was a question- my brain is fried! well, we are moving in 2.5 weeks and trying to sell our house so those are my main things i need to get done still.

This past week: sloppy joes, butterscotch pudding, jalapeno stuffed olives.. I didn't know the bizarre cravings took this long to kick in, but boy did they ever hit this week.

I bet someone else has something dirtier, or more exciting to confess, so I'm going to repeat your question, kittn:

What is your biggest guilty pleasure this pregnancy?

Honestly, nothing besides reading a couple of books. No extra time while running after a toddler!

Whats your favorite part about your pregnant body? Weird question, I know, but I had a hard time thinking of one!

That is honestly a hard question for me. I'm really struggling with having a poor body image with this pregnancy. It wasn't so hard with my first two, maybe it's because it's a girl this time!

Anyway, I do like my belly.

What things have you done with your older children to get ready for or celebrate the new babe?

I must be a bad mom, I don't think I've really done anything : I bought dd a gift from the baby and gave it to her the day of our shower so she wouldn't feel too neglected.

What part of taking care of a newborn are you least looking forward to?

Same one we used for my dd. It's a Graco SnugRide. (I think -- I'd have to check, it's out in the garage.)

What did you give up during pregnancy that you most look forward to having/doing again after the birth?

In the shower/bath with me, while the dryer is warming our towels, handing baby out to my husband then enjoying a shower/bath myself for a few minutes and a warm towel afterwards!

And I'm going to ask Laura's question so someone will answer it!!

What questions do you have for your health care provider at your next appointment?

If my iron levels are looking better after a full bottle of Floradix in the last month. She'll be doing my blood draw at my next appt (next Monday) and so I'll find out two weeks from then. My hematocrit was 29.2 about a month ago. I really don't know how good or bad that is, but I believe my mw used the term 'wicked low' :

My favorite outfit. That's a toughy.

I'll go with the kinda dull blue pants with matching reversible jacket. They have blue/white stripe detail on the pockets and little elbow patches. The jacket can be worn with the blue/white stripe out or with solid out. There's two matching onesies wtih tiny blue stars all over and a matching onesie that's white with a bigger star that's blue/white striped. It also has a cute matching hat and booties.

Who will you call first after the baby is born?

I like visitors. And the idea of myself, a two year old and a newborn...makes me a little : so, come one come all (and bring food!)
What, in your opinion, is the greatest thing about newborns?
