Here we are ladies, near the end. Many of us are *almost* term. It seems we have a very healthy DDC

My official prediction of the first birth announcement is FuzzyOne.
but who knows. . .

All we can do is wait and see. . .

I've been having crazy BH contractions for a couple of weeks now, panicking weekly (at least) about PTL, and I'm a nervous wreck. I'm just praying I can make it 'til April 22 (when I'm 36 weeks) because then I can still have my HBAC. So, I really hope it isn't me!! I need lots of baby-stay-in vibes!

Wife of one and mom of five, including my HBAC twins!

I predict me! Just because it would suit our family better if I went a little longer! Two more weeks until I can have a homebirth, after that I guess I really don't care.

ok, seriously though.... who was the other person with twins?? that's my official prediction. we should send the lucky first may DDC delivery winner a prize, whomever it may be. heeeheee.

Hey, once I get to April 22, if nobody else has had theirs yet, I wouldn't be too offended by having mine first. I just have to get that far!

Something tells me that someone, due earlier in May than me anyway, might have theirs before then.

And why be hatin' on the twin moms? :

Me? or Kristen??? I think she's just hedging her bets. She seems like the type who would try to find out which horse is getting steroids before laying her money down.

yeah, that's the scientific mind.. I just can't help it I work with statistics all day long! No hatin' on the twin moms! I have the utmost respect and admiration for you! Carrying two babies to term and then raising them will probably not be quite as easy as doing just one at a time... but I bet you excel at it, you just seem that type.

As of last wed, I was 3cm...:

(But honestly, that doesn't mean anything for me. I walk around contracting and crazy dilated for weeks, then all of a sudden wake up one morning in transition and have a baby just three hours later! )

Ha, given that it's my first, I probably will, and my mom will be off her crutches by then so that will be ideal because I need her help with the Skids. Of course, MIL may show up some time in the next two weeks too, so either of them will do. But baby is LOW and BH are making me breathless already (and come every 10-20 all evening most nights) and I have a feeling that April 23 is the day (long story!). So we'll see!!

OMG, this thread makes me feel a bit ill! I KNOW that is will not be me (not due until May 22nd) but I am SO not ready for a baby et and really need to make it until the middle of May for sure!!! My dissertation defense is on April 24th (36 weeks to the day) and I have to have my dissertation in my May 5, so I absolutely can not have a baby before then!

I'm actually surprised (and grateful) that we haven't had any babies born yet in our ddc. I mean some mamas due right at the beginning of may are already 36 weeks!

Even though I"ve had 3 preemies I know this one is staying in until at least may 1st (that's my positive thinking lol)

I have to hold out until the 21st of April. I'll be 37 weeks and 2 days. The reason? DH is leaving this Wed for Alaska until the 21st. He doesn't have a choice of not going (military) but they sd if my dr says I'm dialiting then he can come home. I'm trying to decided if I want to be checked on Tuesday when I go in for my appt and maybe he will not have to go!

I've been early w/ both the other girls so maybe she'll make her appearance after the 21st. I'll be ready by then! But I HAVE to make it till 36 weeks though.

I'm still amazed how close we are!:

Well, I'm due around May 14, and I so need this kid to hold out at least until the 12th. Unfortunately, I have a lot of orders to fill for my business, and everything will come to a screeching halt if he or she comes any sooner...but I know that is something I really can't control. I have a feeling this kid might pop up a little early though. I really feel like he's been sitting right on my cervix lately, and it kind of hurts.

We shall see!

Yeah, I am SO amazed and happy that everyone is still pregnant! I'm so proud of us! Now I want us all to have anterior babies and get the births we want, complete with fast and easy recoveries from the planned c-sections!

I realized a few days ago my due date is actually May 4th when I've been thinking it's the 6th forever. Not that it matters, but I'm expecting/hoping to birth right around my due date like I did with my daughter. A Cinco de Mayo baby would be fun. As would a birthday of 05/06/07.

Oooh, I volunteer! I'm due May 5- so I'm 36 weeks this Saturday! Any time after that I can have my homebirth. I'm also having prodromal labor... which I know can go for weeks!

To my husband I am wife, to my kids I am mother, but for myself I am just me.

Ah this is def exciting!!

I am one of the earlier due dates, May 3 technically, but being a 1st time Mama, I am not planning on going early or anything... well, just in case, I'll be ready for anything in a couple weeks!

I'm going to predict myself
I've been having prodromal labor for a week now. Cramping/Contractions (and other lovely labor symptoms) pretty much non-stop... but not strong enough to warrant a trip to l&d. Babies head is already engaged and feels like it's "right there", ready to pop out.

I need to make it until the 13th, at least. My OB is on vacation, which wouldn't be a problem, except that I'm having vbac and she is the only one who supports me with this... I don't want to fight the l&d staff for it, and I'm too paranoid to give birth unassisted.

My other birth board already has 2 May babies! As long as I make it to 36 weeks for a homebirth. I'm 33 weeks this week so 3 more weeks! So I hope it's not me. I do want a Taurus baby though.
