Someone help me figure this out. I'm in quite a bit of pain right now, but it's more of a period time cramp, but it's my ENTIRE uterus area, not just the low part like it was when I was contracting last weekend, and it doesn't stop when the contraction stops. It hurts constantly, and then hurts a little more with a contraction, and then goes back to the regular hurt when the contraction is over.

Any advice? This sucks

What is the pain level on a scale of 1 to 10?

Do you feel that it's probably a normal pain or do you sense something abnormal about it?

How are you feeling otherwise?

What precipitated this?

I'm so bad at answering this question I would say 5.

Well, I don't feel uneasy about it..I guess it could be a normal pain, just not one I've had before.

How are you feeling otherwise?

Other than the pain, I'm totally fine.

What precipitated this?

Nothing really. I took a long walk today, and played outside with dd..but nothing exceptional. I've had a backache for three days which seems to have left at the same time this new pain started though. Do you think that means something?

Could you have damaged you abdominal muscles? That sounds like the issue to me based on the description.

Have you had enough water today? Have you tried laying down and getting some rest?

Hope you feel better!

Maybe the baby changed positions slightly and that is why your backache left but this new pain has begun? I hope you get some answers soon!

Well, I don't think I've damaged anything, and I drink a lot of water so I doubt I'm lacking. It actually hurts more when I sit down so I'm not sure I want to rest

Thanks for the suggestions!

I forgot to also ask if your abdomen is hard. If you answer No to that too, cool. It really sounds OK. I don't know *what* it is, but it sounds OK.
I just had to ask all the general placental-abruption questions.

It's only hard during the contractions. Thanks for all your input! Hopefully whatever it is goes away soon, it's definitely not welcome!

with my last child i had that type of pain for about 3 weeks before he was born. I kept thinking "Today's the day!" I think it was just the pressure of holding a 10 lber, for me.
