We were at a friend's house this morning and her DD threw up while we were there. I really, really don't want us to get this (I am 35 weeks pregnant and suffering like crazy with heartburn, indigestion and insomnia already).

Here's what I did: Gave my DD a bath and I took a shower, washed all of our clothes, took Primadophilus (broke open a capsule and put the powder in DD's mouth), and served fresh garlic in pasta sauce for lunch.

Anything else I can do? She'll eat just about anything...

I would up my intake of vitamin C for you and your dd drink lots of water minimize sweets for the next week and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Your friends little one who threw up may not even have a contagiois illness, could have been something simple like a food interaction (maybe too much food or too much junky food, or a bit of food poisoning)

Yeah, I'm thinking the late pregnancy hormones have me a little panicked and paranoid. I have been, shall we say, a little edgy lately. I did restock the Emergen-C today, though, and DD and I went on a vegan/raw diet for the day and probably tomorrow too. Thanks!

My anti-stomach bug remedy is raw garlic but the only thing is that an HFS employee reminded me that it's a blood thinner, so be moderate with it. But as soon as anyone gets sick around me I chop up a clove of raw garlic and then swallow it down without chewing. I swear nothing can stand up to the power of raw garlic.

I am TOTALLY paranoid about stomach bugs. I have a phobia about vomiting, to put it mildly. Every time DD pukes I have anxiety attacks. I swear she could contract polio (heaven forbid) and I wouldn't react as badly as when she pukes.

I have a phobia about vomiting too! Especially right now. I feel like it couldn't possibly come at a worse time. I think we're in the safe zone now, though. It's been almost 4 days since we were over there...
