Sorry in advance..

Is it normal to have "the runs" these days? I haven't had a normal stool in over a week.

I had read before DD that that might happen, and sure enough a few days before labor I was cleaning out on the toilet in a hot sweat and nauseous as well.: I think it has happened periodically for me in this pg as well. I'm not complaining as I've had terrible constipation this time around, more TMI

i had loose stools the morning dd2 was born....actually, it was only about 6hrs before she came. i started having diarrhea this morning, too, and got all excited that Baby was on the way but nope. i consider it a good sign, though, that things are clearing out!

Man, from 5 months on I have more loose stools than solid ones. Both pregnancies so far. I also haven't had a solid stool in over a week.

You know, I was wondering this very same thing. After 2 months of being somewhat constipated (well, constipated for me, anyway, usually my gut is like clockwork and skipping a day is odd for me and only happens when I'm pg), the last couple days I have had diarrhea (sorry!) but no stomach pains or malaise that I'd experience with a stomach bug. Maybe someone will make an appearance soon....?

means nothing in my case. I had that around 36 weeks...but soon it was gone. I like to get nice and constipated before delivery, I guess baby sinks down so low he start clogging things up down there.

ditto for me, but this is my first pregnancy. i drink coffee a lot of mornings though, so that might partially be why.

It may be a sign, but who knows. Anything can be a sign. Sigh. Well hope that is a sign for you and that you get to hold yours soon!

I've gotten it at 36 weeks both times now and then with DD it was off and on until I went into labor at 40 weeks. Definitely a sign that we are getting near the end, though.
