Hey, Jilian, you sexy married lady, you! Congrats again!
Life's been mucho hectic this weekend; car's in the shop (blown transmission that's getting put back together), and we rented a van to go pick up a used chest freezer (G-d bless craig's list!), and the crib. So we now have most of the Bean's 'room' set up (it's a big nook off our bedroom - sort of a storage room/really big walk-in closet that we're setting up as a pseudo-nursery, even though it's really just part of our bedroom), and some meals in the big freezer.
Our first pre-birth meeting/Lamaze class with our birth doula is on Tuesday, and I'm getting really excited about that! It's the breastfeeding lessons section in the public prenatal classes on Wednesday, and I'm less excited about that - I'm sure the lecture will be good, but I'm not fond of a lot of the people there, so that makes a big difference. Plus, the public classes are at the same time as my yoga class, and I miss yoga a lot.
Other than that, life goes on! Someone asked me how long I have left to go, and I realized it was only four more weeks until I'm full-term. AUGH! (Not that I expect sympathy from those of you with two or three weeks left, but you've been there - you know what I mean!) Half of me wants to be done and holding my baby girl already, and the other half is convinced that I'll be the world's least prepared mother EVER, and I need at least three more months to get ready.
How are the rest of you first-timers doing, mentally?
