I need:

A carseat
A stroller
more socks
diapers
A few bottles and a few cans of formula ( I like them around, just in case)

I think I am all set on everything else.

So, what's everyone else lacking so I can get an idea on whether or not I am missing anything?

I would love to buy a new car. However, money is not going to let that happen. I just can't afford a bigger car payment right now.
Thanks for reminding me about the Bf pillow. I have been wanting to get a Boppy!

Well, I was beyond thrilled the other day because I found a BRAND new in the package miracle blanket for $3 at a garage sale, and also a new in the box never used, sleep noise machine, the exact brand I had been wanting, for $5! Woohoo! lol I got some new luxe wool breastpads off Diaper Swappers this week too.

I still need to get -

dresser
double stroller
glider rocking chair - searching garage sales and craigslist for all the above
nursing pajamas and robe from Motherhood or Macy’s
cloth diapers - the Kissaluvs outlet opens this week so I'm getting some then!
Moses Basket - I like the pink Amy Coe one
Solarveil fabric blanket - solarveil.com, I'm going to buy the fabric and make a blanket out of it to protect baby from the sun!
Haba toys - Trix and Maxe
books – Dr Sears Baby Book?, Let the Baby Drive
Earth Mama Angel Baby post partum stuff – happy mom spray, bottom balm, bottom spray, and bath soak herbs
mama cloth
more cloth nursing pads
and some things I'm going to make - some crocheted wool diaper covers, a taggie blanket, some soft cloth blocks, soft shoes...
oh, and I'll pick up some more Burts Bees baby care stuff and a pack of sposies for the beginning, and a booger sucker, lol, I dont want my kids sharing one!

Thats about it! A much smaller list than our registry with our first baby, lol.

Because I will be going back to work when the baby is 2 weeks old so DH will need bottles. I haven't always needed formula, but I like to have it around just in case. DS2 was so little he had a really hard time Bfing even with a breast shield. The doctor also suggested supplementing with formula to help him gain weight faster because he was only 4 pounds. This is my fourth, so I know these are things that I am going to need from my experience. Other mothers that can stay home longer and Bf solely... I envy them, but this is how I do it.

I still have to buy everything. LOL Moving while pregnant sucks. The move takes precedence over shopping.

Sorry to hear that. Take it easy while you are moving. We moved when I was 8 weeks pregnant and I was so stressed that I started spotting.
I hope everything turns out good!

formula changes the flora in the gut of babes.
i would suggest pumping and storing that for when you go back to work instead.
and please remember, Drs are NOT gods they dont know everyhing. the BEST thing for your baby is YOUR breastmilk.
and if you need to suppliment do it at the breast with a Lact-Aid or SNS with your own milk.
forumla is for extreme cases but it gets abused way too much. especially in our american society

I have two boys, ages 5 and 3. However, dh threw out some very important items (knowing full well that we were having more kids). I also need to supplement some things, and if we find out we're having a girl, start a girl wardrobe!

car seat
maybe a stroller?
pouch sling
Moby or similar wrap
AIOs
diaper covers
girl clothes

I'm actually feeling pretty clueless this time around - like I haven't had a baby in 15 years, rather than 3! I think it may be because I'm working full time now, and I don't have time to think about ANYTHING at all!

I want another diaper changing table. I got rid of mine from when Marah Jade was a baby. I have a dog that likes to steal poopy diapers so I don't want to change on the floor. There is a stroller I have been eyeing with a toddler stand/sit spot I have this funny idea that I am going to exercise

I have a big custom order of bamboo/velour mama cloth for postpartum coming from Ama'z Padz!

I also need:
To make a boy and girl blanket, so we're ready either way
More socks
A take home outfit for each sex
More breastpads
Yoga ball for labor

And I think that's it.

This is number 5, so we have almost everything.

Sagira, why are you getting the lysol? just curious.
if you are looking for a germ killer you can put some white distilled vinegar 50/50 with water in a sray bottle and that works GREAt and is non toxic unlike Lysol.

i've saved everything from ds, so we only need a few things.
*a couple more newborn diaper covers (4 works, but i want more for those days of constant blowouts!)
*mama cloth, still checking out all the options
*a carseat for when the babe outgrows the infant seat
*would love to trade in my huge barely used graco stroller for a maclaren or something small like that. and i figure with 2 babes it would be handy to have a basket, which my umbrella stroller does not.
*girl clothes. i have plenty of nuetral baby clothes but would like a few dresses for dd.
*a pair of robeez. i do have one pair of target's knockoff robeez. other than that i'll probably wait since i don't know what size shoe she'll be in when she's walking (i figure it'll be different then ds), but i loved angel covers squeaky shoes for ds and can't wait to buy some for dd.
*sell my babyhawk and either make or buy a mai tai with wrap style straps.
*would like to try knitting or crocheting some wool diaper covers.

mama to DS born 9/7/05, DD born 8/20/07, DS born 9/4/10 and DS born 11/26/13

Uh...
I was going to say everything as I haven't bought anything but some diapering supplies yet. Upon further thinking, though...

Bigger car seat for dd#1
changing table
dresser
glider
water sling
waterbirth supplies
birthkit
some large wall hangings to cover up the overly apple green walls that are in the babe's room. (It's my Mom's house and even though we have permission we don't want to repaint as she likes the walls and we will most likely move in a year.)
little extras on a registry these are not necessary, though. Just fun
More diaper covers & snappis
Diaper pail

A double stroller (the E3) since #2 & #3 will be very close in age. I love my pouches, wraps, & Ergo but sometimes it's just way too hot here to babywear. But I don't really need that right away, and besides I have another stroller I'm trying to sell right now to fund the purchase.

Other than that: Another Kinderzeat (or knockoff) and eventually a twin trundle bed.

Oh wait: I also need a new bouncy seat (DD broke ours just by kicking it when she was a few months old. She's one strong baby!). It was the FP Aquarium bouncer, and the water was starting to evaporate out of it anyway, so the fish et al weren't spinning.

Does anyone have a good bouncer rec? Something other than the Papasan.

Blessed Mama to 4 and expecting one more!

Addysmama,

It's with great trepidation that I bought my Lysol spray today. I hesitated a lot for that same reason and because the company tests on animals.

That said, I just read a study that said that brand name disinfectant sprays like Clorox and Lysol are the only ones that really eradicate germs and viruses, and that natural disinfectants only work partially in comparison. I think the natural disinfectants were 90% and the non-natural companies were 99% effective and Lysol even kills RSV.

My son was not breathing one night and had to be hospitalized for one night, two days in December of last year -- he had contracted RSV. It was heart-wrenching watching him connected with tubes and miserable

Since then, I've been thinking about getting the Lysol -- I'm terrified that my infant daughter could get something like that -- it was tough watching my son, age three, struggling to breathe.

I wanted to disinfect the diaper area and pail especially.

I want to try the 50/50 vinegar solution. I do have vinegar, and have used tea tree oil in the past.
