executive weakness book suggestions - Mothering Forums

executive weakness book suggestions

We recently determined that our 11 year old daughter has executive weaknesses. She is transitioning to middle school this coming year. I am trying to educate myself on ways to support her. I have found a couple of books, but not too many that are geared toward parents. Are there any suggestions for books about working memory and executive weakness that you would recommend?

"Smart But Scattered" is a great book for this kind of issue.

I believe there's one called The Myth of the Lazy Child. I skimmed it once and it breaks things down nicely.

Smart but Scattered, Smart but Scattered Teens and Late, Lost and Unprepared are all great books on Executive Function.
