I know there have been several threads in the past related to this, but I couldn't find any of them.
Anyway, dd1 is starting to show signs of entering puberty, which I seriously cannot believe...where did the time go? So, I've been looking around on-line trying to find something for her that I could order and just have on hand for when the time comes. And, I couldn't find anything that I really liked. I get my pads from Hagrag, so I sent her an e-mail asking if she could help me out, and the woman (bless her soul ) created a kit for my daughter. Mommas, I am SO excited!!! It has pads (and I got to pick prints my daughter would like), a moon calendar, a candle, menstrual cramp oil, a journal, a book, a two-sided storage bag to hold dry & used pads, and just a ton of other stuff.
I know there have been a lot of Mommas here in the past trying to find something special for their dd's, so I thought I'd share my excitement at finding something that is absolutely perfect for my dd. Go check her out at www.hagrag.bigstep.com.

That's perfect! My dd1 will be 10 next week, she too is showing signs of puberty. It would be a great gift for me to give to her - what timing! Thanks mama!

That's great! How nice for your daughter.

For my dd, it was a couple of years between her first signs of body changes to her first period. Your dd might have a ways to go. But it's good to start talking about it. Let her examine and try out the pads, ask questions...

We've already started our collection for DD, but that's a great idea!

The absolute hardest part for me about starting menstration is that all of the products and things were in a cupboard across the bath room from the toilet and I had *no* idea how to walk over and get them. I also ended up tossing a very-very soaked pair of underpants down the laundry chute and my mother had to show me how to go rinse them with cold water.

I think the gift set is a fabulous idea--especially if the pads are kept in an easily accessible location!

I remember that bloody sheets were a problem too, in addition to the underwear. One of the things that Skuld @ hagrag put into my kit is a leopard print fleece backed "leaky blankie" for putting on the bed at night to help keep stains off the sheets!!!
