I don't have any family with children older than mine. My nephew is only a couple months older than my daughter. All our friends' kids are younger, as well. So I need advice from crunchy MDC mamas with older kids!

So, what's your best advice? If I could change one thing so far, I would have been much more careful from the beginning about what I feed my children. They started with breastmilk but then I screwed it up with candy as toddlers... thankfully they're back to better diets now.

So, what should I be doing from age 6 up to the early teens? What do you regret most? What do you do that you really are happy with?

My oldest two are 10 and 13, so I haven't been all the way immersed into teendom for long...I will have to say so far, that it is VERY hard to let go, but I am realizing that sometimes we HAVE to let go (even if we are thinking "what if", "what if", "what if") we have to trust that if and when the "what if" comes up, that they can make the right decision FOR THEM.

My personal biggest regret is sending dd to public school. She's been out for several years now, but there is definite lack of trust in parents and peer dependence that happens in that environment.

Ok... these responses made me think about it... (Trying not to be a sheeple!)

So I did some research, read a few books...

And we're homeschooling! Just thought I'd share.
