Sorry you feel ignored.
Not all mamas who read stuff post. You need to give a little bit of time. Expecially when you post something at 1 in the morning.
I was just getting ready to read yours, when it was changed to a delete.
Hope you can make the right choice and not feel unsure without venting or views from other mamas with older kiddos, or someone who might have the same concerns you had.
Good Luck in what ever you needed.

Yep-Def repost. I usually give a whole day before I feel ignored, lol.

But please do repost, I am sure there will be at least a few of us who will post, or at least try to help!

Wait - Come back. BOTH DH and myself were late physical developers I might have something to share.

Not to hijack - but do you think that predisposes our kiddos for late physical development?

My daughter (15 1/2 years old) is also a late bloomer, and has experienced problems with classmates due to this. (Especially a few years ago -- they were emotionally more mature than she was, and were more interested in boys.) My daughter still hasn't gotten her period, and, at one point, the MD wanted to give her hormones. (We decided against it, but if she has her 16th birthday and still has no period we may reconsider.)

COME BACK! I would have loved to talk about this topic!!

Can you repost? I've had a few post that didn't get many replies but lots of people read them. One possible thing that might help in the future is to giv eyour thread a bump Just in case you don't know, that's when you just respond to your own thread (or another's) so that it gets bumped to the top of the forum. When I see a bumped thread like that, I try to respond. It means someone is really trying to get an answer. Some threads just get missed.

Not sure what you wrote but my dd is a late dev who has since learned to embrace it. She doesn't need to worry about bras or periods. After I pointed that out to her, she had one of those uh-ha moments. She knows eventually those things will come and in the long run, assuming nothing is physically/hormonely (sp?),it will not matter. Also not on her radar: boyfriends, clothes (for as long they are comfortable/not dorky, that is all that matters), nails, hair, "in crowd" obsession, shaving, "in" music group, etc. Oddly enough on her radar: doing well in school (wants to be an MD), karate, babysitting, politics (npr junkie here), and getting together with friends (both girl and boy friends) every once in awhile, Discovery Health Channel. I guess each child will turn into an adult at their own pace and do it their own way. It can be hard when you're either the first or the last! Just keep pointing out all the good things about her, all that makes her special.

I'm sorry I missed your earlier post

: I'm almost never on after 9 PM (bedtime) and don't usually have a chance to pop on until my break around 10:30 AM.

You know this post is over a week old and she has not come back to change her mind.

It was brought to my attention recently that it is against the UA to delete posts, too...
