My DH came in to find me feverishly sewing a bunch of new cloth pantyliners the other day. So of course he made some funny "Finally!" comment about how badly I needed them (he does the laundry ...).

Summer is going to be a rough one isn't it?

You don’t owe them an explanation, just a response.

Hopefully they are like other cloth pads only fewer layers. I won't have to change panties (or pants) due to so much cm nor will they be bulky or filled with chemicals and plastic like disposables. My lochia, after the first few days after birth has been light so I am planning to use them then also.

I am sure there is more to say, ask away.

You don’t owe them an explanation, just a response.

Thanks mommajb! I am very intersted! I do use those terrible yucky disposables and they are SO terrible! I didn't know there was another choice! Do they stay in place? Are they thin enough that they can not be seen? Where can I get them? Are they expensive?

So sorry mighty-mama to get off subject a bit......

I am happy to share. There are several threads in 'natural family living' and 'natural home and body'. 'Mama cloth' or 'cloth pads' would be key search words. I went to pull up some and found so many that I'll let you look around.

I like wings that snap under your panties, they then basically stay in place, snug panties help. Fleece, flannel, and wool are fibers I like, maybe a layer of pul for heavy times.

They are thin enough, think a couple layers of flannel or 1 flannel and 1 fleece, or wool or.... Longer, rather than thicker would be more visible IMO

There are several patterns available or you could make your own pattern from a pad you like the fit of. Several on-line diaper companies sell them and several WAHM moms here at MDC do also. There are reviews and threads comparing them. The initial outlay is not cheap ($3 a pad or more) but they last forever. You might luck out and find a co-op to get some (though this is a slower route).

There are literally dozens of options and lots of discussion about them all. :

Keep asking, we can get this thread totally hijacked.

You don’t owe them an explanation, just a response.

Isn't it funny the things we can relate to here? Can you imagine showing up at the park and talking about a sweaty crotch? :
