So James has been sleeping a LOT today. And it's not like him. (I was just posting on Life with a Babe that he's a cat napper!) Should I be concerned? Literally, he'll be awake 20 minutes and then go back to sleep. Or is this just a growth spurt thing? He's almost 9 weeks... but he was born 3 weeks early, which I guess puts him at the 6 week growth spurt. Maybe?

I should be enjoying a little free time but it's making me paranoid!

I wouldn't worry too much! I'm guessing it's a growth spurt! DD pretty much still sleeps all day at 5 weeks!

My DD until recently slept all day and night and only woke to be fed and promptly fell asleep again.

The problem is she is so sleepy and lazy that there are days that she doesn't suckle enough and my supply get affected :

She has started having a bit of awake time now but she's still sleepy.

She will be 6 weeks old on Monday but she was born 3 weeks early.

I could have written your whole post. :Heh, I'm trying to wake Hazel up from a 3 hour nap so she might sleep tonight.
I don't usually have this "problem". (?)
I just think they are too little to be in a routine yet still.

Got a sleeper here too. He's 12 days today and I have never had a baby who slept. They all came out and stayed awake for the first 2 ys of their lives, lol. I am hoping it'll last, it's so nice to have long stretches of sleep at night.
