We still do not know if we are having a boy or a girl. My wife & I are debating the following two names:

1) Kyan Lucas
2) Kyan Andrew
FYI: Kyan rhymes with Ryan.

She suggested Lucas as a first name. I said no because of the Star Was reference to Luke Skywalker. I said if our son is Luke Skywalker, that makes me Darth Vader. No way. But we both agree it can be used as a middle name.

I'm throwing in an enthusiastic vote for Kyan Lucas. I don't really like KyAN ANdrew - see the "problem"?

Hi,

Darth Vader here.

If Lukas is good enough for me, than Lucas should be good enough for you and yours.

The Skywalker thing comes up only rarely with us, and hey, didn't Darth turn out to be OK in the end?

I like Kyan Andrew, and I don't think to two "an" sounds make it sound bad, I like the flow. And personally, I really like the name Lucas as a first name.

Single student mama to dd 5/04 and ds 11/07.

I like Lucas/Luke as a first name. I like Kyan Lucas better than Kyan Andrew b/c of the double "an."

DS1 2004 ~ DS2 2005 ~ DD1 2008 ~ DS3 2010 ~ DD2 due Dec. 2014

I like Kyan Lucas better than Kyan Andrew, because I like the name Lucas better than I like the name Andrew. I really like the name Kyan, too!

Also really like the name Lucas. Something very centered and playful at the same time about it.

Lucas Andrew also has a really nice flow to it. (That is if you were to reconsider Lucas as a first.)
