My DH visits MDC regularly, but usually only on the Worlds of Warcraft threads.

He does get in on this formum once in awhile. It's kind of fun to see him when he gets sucked into MDC like I do.

I am a 40 year old unschooling, belly dancing, artist-mama of one almost 8 year old. I just had brain surgery and blogging.jpg about it a bit because it's just so surreal.

I had to reply, you gave me my first gigle of the day, but alas, I am a mommy...sorry! I know there are other daddys on here, but I am guessing they do not visit as often as most of us mommys.

I post from time to time. But yes I have to agree not too many men seem to post in here, even in a forum devoted to Dads. Even mostly all of the responses you got were practically from all moms.

Here I am. It is an odd situation. It's a women's site with a dad's section so there is a lot of input fromt the mom's. It's cool though. Without the ladies, this would be a very quiet room......

I read the dad's forum almost every day and jump in from time to time but you are right. Where is everybody? This could be a great place to connect with other like-minded dads.

Dad here. I get in here once in a while. I look at the threads everytime I log on. I tend to be in News and Current Events, Spirituality, Learning at Home and, I even hate to say it, Talk Amongst Ourselves, once in a while. It's just what I have a head for, and energy for, at the time I log on. Sometimes I just can't get up the emotional fortitude to give support or advice, but I can espound on the evils of nuclear srtikes all night long. Go figure.

The board admins should enable RSS feeds for specific forums. Then there might be more Dads who add this forum to their readers (like I would). Is there one already that I'm blind to?

brother i hear your pain... the "men of mothering" are few and far between, and yet we are here, : perhaps we just need to give props to our other brothers more often. ya know, drag our mates in on the conversation. spread the word. share the joy. unfortunatly, i suspect that most of us were dragged here by our partners. the good ones stay.... see ya around the boards.

Hello, you've got a father of Mothering right here

Perhaps it is a conundrum... There aren't many dads here to begin with, so they never talk, because there's no other dads here to talk about dad stuff with.

Or maybe the "Mother-ing" moniker puts off some prospective dads.

In any case, I am certainly here. And I am a father. And for the record, I don't play any computer games at all. If I've got free time, I'm either out in the garden, or perhaps making posts on discussion boards like this one.

Show him this thread.
And, do what my DW did... she would say, "HOney, on MDC today I read XYZ!" She'd get so excited and spend so much dang time on MDC that I got kinda curious.

I'm a new member and I think I'll be pointing DH here. That is, when he can pull himself away from WoW. What is it about that game? Seriously!
