Currently have two home-made batik ring slings, just took a break from sewing machine now, as I make another! Found beautiful hand-done batik fabric and am using some great bronze colored aluminum rings.
One Beco, big shower gift from family!
One cute old denim Bjorn...
One home-made Mei-Tai
thinking about making a wrap, but probably run out of time here soon...okay back to work!:

I have 2 fleece pouches (one is too small though) a jellybean ringsling (not the greatest but does the trick) and a babyhawk. We also have a new native that is too big for me, I'm hoping it will work for dh.

I really feel like i need a stretchy wrap for nb stage, and then a woven wrap and beco or ergo for later on!

I am sooo geekishly excited to do that with the Ergo, you have no idea. Pinky has no idea what's in store for him over the next few weeks.

Oh, I have the weirdest thing I got in that big lot of baby stuff from a friend--It's like a framed hiking backpack, only I just noticed it has wheels on it. Like, it converts from a baby carrier to a stroller? I haven't really messed with it, but my gearhead boyfriend saw it and got really excited. He also likes the Bjorn I inherited, so it looks like we're keeping those. I don't care if he's using a Didymos or a weird stroller contraption sling thing, I'm just glad he's stoked on babywearing.

One more thing--they should make baseball cards out of slings and cloth diapers.
It would be a good way to get the dads interested. They'd be all like, "Wow, you have the 2006 Maya Wrap in multi-jewel? I'll trade that card for the 2005 Ellaroo hand-embroidered mei tai."

You guys are a BAD influence. I just bought a Peanut shell (new) for dirt cheap from someone on another board. I so need one, though. But dh will flip, as usual.

We have a Babasling that the Bear LIVED in for his entire infancy and an Ergo that we bought too late. I want to get a fancy schmancy BabyHawk, but we're waiting until after the anatomical scan. A good way to explain carriers to DHs is to compare them to tools: different ones work better for different job

Oh, and pay a visit with your DH to www.thebabywearer.com to see the stash pictures some ladies there have. We are talking DOZENS!

I have 4 no-sew wraps and my mom found a second hand ring sling and is sending it to me. We are really really living on a budget right now, so I can't justify spending money on anything other than plain pieces of cloth. Color me pea-green with jealousy about all of you Ladies' wonderful stashes.

I have a decent sized stash...a little of every thing but I made most of it. From the easy pouches to the time intensive SSC, ifyoucansewyoucan easily make a fleece ponch or a simple Mei tai. My only splurge was the Girsol. ANd I'm so glad I did it.

I just got two Moby wraps at a shower today! One used, sage-colored, and the chocolate one from our registry. Wondering if I should return the chocolate one (although I really like that color better) because do we really need two of the same kind? Don't have any other babywearing gear yet... registered for a hotsling and an ergo.

They are not alike...the color is different! What if your outfit matches sage better than chocolate? It's very important to have options so you always coordinate!

I think Austin Baby (on South 1st and Mary) does sling exchanges with used slings. I know they carry Moby's if you wanted to exchange the new one for diapers or whatever. They also have 360 Baby, which is a locally made pouch sling a lot like hotslings, and they carry Ergo.

Jen, once again, your info recall is amazing. What would I do without you on the scene? I'm gonna check that out. If I can trade the used one for something else, that would be ideal!
