I have been feeling so weird since Saturday and have had diarrhea every day, up to three times today (so far). Yuck. I was induced with DD at 42 weeks and don't know what it is like to go into spontaneous labor. I have not lost my plug or anything else. Is the diarrhea normal? I've read it is to cleanse your body to make room for the baby to come out. Does this mean he/she is coming soon?? I want to make it to January!

I don't know what it means either, but I've had the same thing since Sunday. I'm "due" 10 days earlier, though, and wouldn't mind not making it to Jan if that's what babe decides.

ETA: I should add that I never went into labor last time so I have no idea if it's even normal for me.

I've heard the same thing about the cleansing. My midwife says that there is a bug going around though and alot of the clients were saying that they were experiencing the same symptoms. Ya never know though!

I remember being excited every time I had diarrhea the last few weeks I was pregnant with ds2. The only time in my life when I think...oh good diarrhea!! It might be your body gearing up for labor or just a little stomach bug.

My midwife gave me a handout about "signs of labor." Diarrhea is listed, but it says that it could still be a few weeks until real labor begins.
