Nuts, huh?

I'm not at the "any day now" stage yet, but it's creeping ever closer. Or maybe bearing down on me like a freight train, take your pick.

i'm in your boat, tofu. looking at everyone else having their babies, and still feeling ages away from having mine. but the reality of knowing we will likely deliver THIS YEAR, and even THIS MONTH is making it all kinda hit home with me this morning.

i really should pack a bag for the hospital....

I'm thrilled it's January now, but I still have so much to do! I have to gather our supplies and do lots of laundry.. I've been getting that nesting instinct, but I'm also fighting that extreme fatigue that set in this week.. so it's been slow going.
But YAY it's our month!

Even though I have all the birthing supplies and baby's stuff in order I still feel like I have tons to do. I just don't know what. I'm nesting like crazy. DH constantly has to tell me to "go sit down and rest!"

Sadly, I did not get the tax break I was hoping for. I was 37 weeks on Dec 26th, and will be 40 weeks along on Jan 15th. I am ready, Li'l One. : Anyday now!

it did seem like all of a sudden, babies started dropping everywhere. kinda made me feel a little lonely, actually.

we should start a thread of we-don't-think-we're-going-anytime-soon'ers.

congrats to all of the december mommies, though!

See, I'm due on the 26th. So if I follow national averages, I probably won't give birth until February. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

i was predicting all along that baby would come on the 2nd and now baby is totally engaged (midwife couldnt move her head and ive dropped about 4 inches! i'm feeling very much like i will go into labor any moment!

i kind of want to wait till tomorow evening since our hot water tank broke a few days ago and tomorow is the first day that we could get someone to fix it. But, if baby wants to come i'll welcome her with or without our pool.. im excited, but at the same time don't want to psyche myself up for something that may or may not happen

Amazing, isn't it? I can't believe it's January already. Baby listened to me and didn't come in December, so I guess it's game on from here on in. My EDD is in 2 days...I'm thinking the 10th would be a good day to have a baby.

I'll be watching our DDC many, many times a day from here on in!

I'll join the chorus of others who say if baby waited this long, then a few more days isn't necessarily a bad thing... My b-day is this month too so I'm kind of pleased this baby and I will share a b-day month.

Last night we had dh's family over for New Years and I swear every 30 mins someone was asking me if I felt anything.... Lots of signs and I keep wondering everyday if this will be the day but it could be another week or two... gads! Hope not that long!

ETA: MamaFern - I've been meaning to say that I LOVE your wrist/cuff/sleeve tattoo. Gorgeous!!! Cute family you have, too.

I am totally with the mamas who feel it could be anyday now OR weeks away. I am really trying not to put any pressure on myself or baby. I *want* to birth before my parents leave (when I am 40w4d) but I really don't know if that will happen. I am trying to just be at peace with when it will happen, that this baby knows when to be born, but it is hard.
Today I am feeling a little down: not sure why...

January 08? What is this January 08 you all speak of? Isn't it still November 07? :

I just need to get my birth box. The holiday decorations are still up and my dining room is a nightmare, but the bedroom and bathroom are clean and that's what really matters : So as soon as I get my birth box, I will feel totally comfy going into labor. :

Yes, I can relate about the feeling of "any day" or "weeks!" I'm due tomorrow!! But I have told myself this whole time not to get my hopes up until mid-Jan. This pregnancy has been really awful for most of the time, so time has dragged by so slowly for me. Even so, I am very grateful that the baby didn't come in the days before Christmas, or even all of last week. Now that Christmas is over, our decorations are put away, I feel better about the timing of the baby. Actually, next week will be perfect! (I say this as I'm having some regular back cramping going on! )
