Check-in time! I'm surprised no one beat me to the punch on this one. I hope it's because you're all sound asleep.

I'm 38+1 today and still waiting. This evening I noticed some random tightenings in my uterus. I wonder if they were contractions. They didn't hurt and they haven't been regular, so I figure it's nothing. Still, I just have this intuition that something is changing in there.

Of course, I'm still not asleep yet (shame on me), but I figure I had better enjoy being the boss of my own schedule while I can.

How's everyone else doing?

Have you seen the updated user agreement yet?

40+3 today. I've been awake since 4:20ish with what I think are contractions every 10 min. They are definatly stronger then the braxtons I was having and a lot more regular. I am in a wait and see position right now. I am making myself a nice hot cup of tea...... DH and DD are snuggled together in bed, so sweet!

Here at 41 weeks today. Did not get much sleep as my 4 year old is not sleeping lately...well, he has not ever slept well but it seems it has gotten a lot worse lately. Was up and down until 3:30 when I just got up for good.

bizzibee1- Hope this is it for you!

38 weeks, 2 days here. Still pregnant and carrying a booda belly.

Had my Mother's Blessing last night and I am riding a wave of strong, deep friendship and good jujuj...I woke this morning thinking that today would be an excellent day to have a baby.

40+3 here. I had some contractions last night and was probably up 15 times to pee. I know that I'm headed in the right direction, I just seem to be heading there soooo slowly!!! I keep telling myself that the more work I do while not in active labor, the easier it will be then. My hips are a little sore but I feel pretty good other than that.

40+2 and still hanging in there. No signs of anything happening, but that's ok. I am a LITTLE sad that today doesn't seem to be the day. It's my grandparents' 63rd wedding anniversary and the birthday of a family member who passed away just before Christmas. I am a firm believer in the circle of life and I think that having this baby today would be perfect! But, nothing's happening, and my ribs still hurt Guess it's still the waiting room for me!

aaronsmom & bizzibee---I hope this is it for you!!! :

Hi All...

I'm due today with DD #4. I hope she comes soon because my
hips and pelvis are not feeling great anymore. I walked around the zoo
yesterday attempting to start things up but to no avail. I know I need
to be patient!

40 weeks today. Still no signs of impending babydom.

I woke up to see that they've added a possibility of snow or freezing precipitation of some sort into the forecast for later in the week. I'm sure that's when he'll decide he wants to be born.

Atlanta completely shuts down at the slightest chance of snow or winter weather. It's really hilarious if you aren't trying to have a baby in it. Let's hope he'll change his mind and come before all the hoopla starts. By Tuesday every store in town could be sold out of bread and milk. Oh we silly Southerners.

Yay! :

I woke up this morning with the leg cramp from hell. The baby is moving around a bit which is nice as I've been irrationally worried about her lately. I've decided to spend the day actually *gasp* making diapers and my pouch sling. I've put off the diaper making for so long and now it is just getting ridiculous. I'm also going to finish packing my bag for the birth center. I think that I've been putting it off because first of all, I'm lazy and second, I haven't wanted to get everything done. At least if I don't have things done I still have something else I could be doing. If I finish everything then I can only wait

39 weeks today. Nothing happening.

Next appt. and NST is on Tuesday. I may talk to my OB about stripping my membranes that day. We'll see. I stopped taking insulin last night for GD (I would take it at night to help control my fasting morning blood sugar) and my reading was totally normal this AM (75!) so yay, I'm off of that. But still, having GD, and having been on insulin - I just wonder what "talk" will be like at my appt. this week. I'm sure the topic of induction will come up, and I know I can refuse. This pregnancy has just been so much harder than my previous ones. I want the baby to be ready to come out this week on their own!!!

I am 39 weeks and not much going on. I do wake up with some contractions at night but I still sleep through them for the most part. They are more painful than BH but easy still to deal with. I did get a pretty good nights sleep so today would be a fine day for a baby! I am planning to take my 3 boys to the science center today which will be an adventure but Ive got to get them out of the house!

Good luck to all those who feel like today is the day and peace to all those still waiting~!

40+3.. slept well, only got up once to pee.. or was it twice.. it all blurs in my mind. im seeing my midwife tomorrow for our weekly visit. i think today ill go for a long hike with my 2 year old dd on my back..im feeling like this baby just needs some gentle encouragement and will be really soon to meet the world... somehow im not feeling as impatient now that my grama is sick and in the hospital. i know that baby will come when the time is right.

aaronsmom: YAY! sounds like something is happening for you!

I'm 41+3 today, as pregnant as I was with my ds. If I make it to tomorrow (dr appt and NST), I'll be the most pregnant I've ever been. I'm feeling good, just bored. The house is clean, and I have no projects that need to be done today - the day is just looooooooming ahead of me, empty. Perfect day to have a baby, right?

Ha - we'll see.

oh man, that's gonna hurt mamazon. Hopefully you heal up quick...grab the arnica.

I almost beat you to the thread this morning, To-Fu...I was staring at the clock at 3am thinking "I'm so not going to sleep. I could get online..." but decided to be a good girl and stay in bed.

Quick question...when more than 10 people tell you "You look great" does that mean a.) you really look great or b.) you look like death and they're trying to make you feel better?

I think you must look great! People would just usually hold their tongues if you really did look awful. At least I do!!

i think you must look great. if not, they'll usually tell you how "tired" you look...how you look like you're "done", etc. not that i've ever been told that (ha-ha)

i think people are mostly truthful.. ive had some "you look great" comments (none of the "OH my god when is that baby falling" out like i did with my dd...) but a few days my sweet mother has said "oh you have that haggard look.." thanks mom i think mostly i look okay. i dont have any swelling or anything. i just have a belly

It's my due date, and I THOUGHT I was in labour earlier--went to the hospital thinking I'd broken my waters (I'm GBS positive, so my doc wants me there asap as she expects labour to progress quickly.) I had a gush of fluid with my mucous plug--and wow, is a mucous plug ever big and goopy!--but apparently it wasn't amniotic fluid. So I am at home, not contracting, not anything. But I am almost 3cm dilated, and cervix is effacing and moving forward. So...I'm dreaming of labour soon, like in the next 48 hours.

I am so uncomfortable; even though I want to walk all day to bring on labour, baby's head is bashing against my cervix with every step and I am just too pooped to bother sometimes. Surely it can't be long now?

Chugging along....I had nothing planned this weekend, so it feels like one big boring black hole! DH still isn't feeling 100% (not really sure what's wrong---uncharacteristic headaches, and just feeling worn down), and DS doesn't do well staying home all day.

I went out for one errand, and when I came back they had the bike trailer hitched up to meet some friends at a park, so that gave me a little more free time. We have the first nice days in WEEKS, and everyone is outside. DS fell asleep in the buggy on the way home from the park, so he's parked in the front yard with the monitor on (fenced in yard). He hasn't napped in well over a month, and MAN did he need it today! Hopefully he'll wake up a happier person, then we can play in the yard. Wa-hoo!

Nothing happening for me on the labor front today, although my back is still hurting pretty badly. Par for the course, though.

othersomethings, no one has really told me I look great or that I look awful (except my mother, of course---why do they do that?!?!), but I definitely feel like a freak show out and about. People either staring at my belly or averting their eyes uncomfortably. It's not THAT big......is it? Especially in the locker room at the gym the other night. Sheesh! I guess I should have known better than to go right when the young, gorgeous single folks were getting out of work.

You aren't in the seattle area are you? We had a beautiful day today, but I spent it inside cleaning and getting unpacking done. I have been so nesty lately... My mom is convinced the baby is coming next week. Haha, we'll see.

We seem to have quite a few pacific NW mamas in the january club!! It was SO beautiful today. I managed a walk with the husband, 2 toddlers and a great dane. Needless to say it was a slow walk. But it was so pretty outside. We let the girls pick the adventure and they chose which way we went at every corner. They love that!

Hi everyone! We've been a little quiet for the last few days, baby wise, that is. Maybe it is the calm before the storm so to speak. I had a crappy day today. Not really about being pregnant or anything. DH was a J-E-R-K today, which is really uncharacterlike (is that a word?) of him. Of course, I'm emotional, so I went off, and sent him to my BIL house for the day (and evening). He was watching football so I'm sure he didn't mind too much. My kids were darling today. My DS especially, seems to know when I really need a Pick-Me-Up? He was walking over to my parents house (they live next door) and he was like, "Bye, Mama! I'll be right at Mema and Popoul's house. I love you so much!" And then he waved and went running. It was totally cute and brought me to tears. Of course he is the same one who can really make me pull my hair out sometimes. Anyway, sounds like most of us are bored out of our gourds! I am, but yet, I still feel like I have tons to do.

For those of you in pre-labor land, : and hopefully things will get started soon.

For those of you who are in pain, sick, or just feeling I send you lots of.

For the rest of you...who seem like your just bored (like me) well, if I knew what to tell you...I wouldn't be so darn BORED!!!

Get some rest everyone.

See you tomorrow!

Affirmation: I will let go of negative feelings, as they do nothing but fester and grow.
