Does anyone else have anything like this? At night when I first go to bed if I lay on my left side I have these strange gurgling not quite burps. They start low in my chest and slowly move up my throat to end, but don't end in a burp. They generally aren't painful or anything, just loud. The biggest problem I have with them is that they are frequent. Yes, I've timed it, and they are about every 7 seconds apart. Is that crazy or what? Because of this I can't fall asleep on my left side. It is seriously annoying.
Now, I am pretty sure I know why this happens..... I have a fast metabolism : and if I don't eat or have a protein shake within an hour of bed, then I can't sleep, or if I do sleep, its not for long then I am up raiding the fridge cutting into my valuable sleep time. I don't know if there is anything that can be done other than always sleeping on my right or starting out sitting up. My right side is really sore, and I can't sleep sitting up. I guess I just wanted to commiserate and see if anyone else had anything strange like this.

I get this too, but for me it's just laying down that does it. It's just indigestion for me, and fortunately not as frequent as yours! I'm just going to assume that it's one more thing that will be over after the baby's born. I hope anyway!

I've had acid reflux pretty bad lately and it causes a similar gurgling in my throat/esophagus area sometimes at night when it's really acting up.

When it's bad, it can progress into coughing and then an awful "am I going to throw up?" feeling that makes me sit up to get things moving back down.
