Oooooh Helen, what a beautiful story. You really captured the whole process so beautifully. This is such a great example of what makes a home birth so beautiful.

congrats and *HUGS* again. I'm glad to hear that baby River is in your arms and growing strong. What a beautiful journey you have ahead of you .

Thriving? Or sapping my will to live ? (mostly kidding, but he's very committed to the process of eating. Less so the sleeping thing.) Thankyou!

Gingerbane, I'll go and repost it down in birth stories as well for you

Ahhhh....what a wonderful story! I have a smile still on my face as I type this. It sounds like a crazy, beautiful, poetic birth. I'm so glad that things went so well and that you and Steve were there together and could bring the little guy into the world together. We should all be so lucky!

Thanks for sharing, Helen! I have been looking forward to hearing the details!

Hope the wax came off the new window sill! It cracks me up that, in the midst of a 2 hour labor, you still looked up and noticed the wax on the sill!!

Congrats on a beautiful story, and welcome to River!

I didn't get to go deep at any point- I wasn't in labourland at all this time, had too many contractions to enjoy myself.
Gingerbane, there's a copy of it down in birth stories

Thanks Flapjack, you made my morning. Camille - they are afraid of opinionated people having open forums to stir up trouble and cause revolutions. Just another way of controling the masses.

What a beautiful story. You're so articulate! You should mail this to Compleat Mother, it's really fantastic.
